U.S. Code Title 17, Chapter 1, Limitations on exclusive rights: Fair use
Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include—
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.

Its the same disrepect...like people calling the POTUS, obama, barack or my favorite, Mr Obama!
Lincoln, while I agree that it's insulting to refer to the President by his first name, presidents are usually called by their last name in analysis of their positions. I don't recall different treatment for either of the Bushes or for Clinton.

RMJ - Thanks for stopping back through again. I feel that alot of people are saying the guys nickname so they can let everyone know they are close to him. Therefore we can believe they are credible sources. I don't care if you know the man just give me the facts.
why don't you tell us exactly "why" they keep calling him Skip, or Dr. Rice, "Condie"...
Go ahead, just for the record. Walk us through it.
Anonymous - Although it is true that condi is a shortened name for the former State Sec. They are called by their first names for two different reasons. "Skip" is used to show familiarity with the person. It's for them to let you know they are major players in the saga (aka - the man next to the man next to the man) "Condi" is used to make the person more acceptable. A play nickname that shows the individual as "one of the gang" "just like us". When I wrote this post I was thinking about all the black folks that were calling him Skip. But I guess you have the other end where white folks used the word "condi".
