He must be “Nuts” because he didn’t get any “Dough!”

We are in hard times people!!! Criminals have gone from robbing banks to doughnut shops! I knew crime in Chicago was crucial but not this bad?? Mr. John McMichels was arrested for sticking up a Chicagoland donut shop last Sunday night.

Side Note: I didn’t know doughnut shops had bank like that?

Things are a little different here in North Carolina. Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, based in Winston Salem NC, faced some difficulties awhile back. Krispy Kreme stores are practically non-existent in Charlotte NC. Their store on Woodlawn was packed like Times Square back in the day. Now you can only get them at Walmart (of course – they sell everything) and gas stations. People will put 5 on pump 10 and get a dozen Krispy Kremes to go. I was always fashioned myself as a Dunkin Donuts man. Dunkin always has more selections to choose from. But these days you can find local doughnut shops that are just as good. There is one in Pineville NC, M J Donuts, that makes a good product but they close in the early afternoon. If McMichels wanted to rob them, he would have to make sure he’s finished by 1:59pm.

Truthfully, we wouldn’t be talking about McMichels if he had a better getaway plan. After robbing the shop, he jumped in a taxicab (not since the movie “Taxi” with Queen Latifah has a black person failed so miserably). This clown didn’t even get a block before the cops scooped him up. He was spotted in the cab counting the $400.00 that he received from his heist. I hate that this happened because someone could have been hurt. I’m just glad that the doughnuts are alright.

When I read stories like this I wonder what was on the person's mind at that moment? Then I realize that if I knew it wouldn't make sense to me anyway.

Oh my I hate Krispy Kreme doughnuts! I've always hated them. Too, too sweet.

Krispy Kreme's mistake was trying to expand all over the country. Sometimes something loses its specialness when its too easy to get.

Like for instance White Castle hamburgers aren't available on the west coast and in and out burger isn't available on the east coast.

If either expanded to the other coast their specialness would be gone.

Redbonegirl97 - You are nutty..ha ha

msladydeborah - It still doesn't make sense to me either. Let's just say he was in dire straights.

Val - Fellow Twitter Follower @MrTramueL told me we do have a Krispy Kreme on Independence Blvd. Was Dunkin Donuts moved in I didn't care anymore. Krispy Kreme are only good when they are hot.

First of all, why must you hate on Latifah?! I thought we talked about this?

Wow, throwing your freedom away for $400 is just sad. I can't imagine his circumstances or any other person who steals money.

He will get added to the "World's Dumbest Criminals" list.

As a native New Yorker, I'm all about the Dunkin Donuts. Krispy Kreme is way too sweet. However, there is a Krispy Kreme in Matthews on 74 by the IHOP.

Nik - we are in hard times. People are doing what they gotta do to get by......sad.

BluAssassin - I keep hearing about the one on Independence. Not on my side of town. To long to get donuts that I don't eat.

I'll eat a Krispy Kreme donut, but to me they taste like pure sugar. I'm more of a Dunkin Donuts man, I love the coffee and the donuts!!

I stop by a DD everyday on my way to work. Coffee is the monkey on my back.

Reggie - you have got to get off that coffee.
