Where is this "Gangster" Chicago-Style Politics I keep hearing about?

Fredo, you're my older brother, and I love you. But don't ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. Ever!!

~ Michael Corleone

Senator Joe “Benedict Arnold” Lieberman, has screwed the Democrats again. Apparently they like it because they keep letting him do it. Lieberman gave the Democrats a middle finger with his decision to back a Republican filibuster on a government option health care bill. The Democrats shouldn’t be surprised because everyone else saw this coming a mile away. This is one of the reasons I left the Democratic Party. They are weak and don’t have the gonads to stand up for their beliefs. They sway in the wind waiting for public opinion to help make their decisions. They should have told Lieberman to kick rocks a long time ago. In the movie “The Godfather”, the Corleone Family handled their enemies with the swiftness. They didn’t sit around hoping people would come around to their way of thinking. They handled their BIZNESS!!! Now I’m not suggesting killing anyone because of course that is against the law. But sometimes you gotta know when to put people in check. The Democrats had a chance to strip Lieberman's Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental chairmanship. It would have been only right because of how he worked against President Obama in the 2008 election. But with word coming down from President Obama to let bygones be bygones, Lieberman skated away. This was the same guy that was once the Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate in 2000. After the Democrats lost in 2000………..oops…….were robbed in 2000, it is as if Lieberman has become a different man. Even the Democrats can’t explain this “New Joe Lieberman.” Either way the Democrats deserve everything they are getting from him. And no I don't feel sorry for them. They should have paid attention to the Corleones. They knew how to handle BIZNESS!!!

So WHO is Senator Lieberman a "traitor TO"?

WHO do YOU speak as, other than as a DEMOCRAT?

I wonder if the "Public Option" is so critical to you and other leftists BECAUSE it helps stifle the insurance industry as you have convinced yourself OR because you realize that the only way to have your STANDARD OF LIVING maintained is via the use of the government to redistribute resources in to areas where the ORGANIC ECONOMIC BEHAVIOR does not support such a standard?

WHO is lacking consciousness and working against their long term interests by building CONSUMER DEPENDENCY upon an entity that is $13,000 billion in debt?

All the while they convince their supporters that an industry making $15 billion a year in profits is the main threat.

The problem with the Democrats and their lack of spine didn't start with Obama and I don't know if he can fix it. I don't know yet if Obama is really comfortable putting people in their place. Also I'm not sure he's really in favor of a public option anyway so Lieberman's actions might not bother him that much.

Shady Grady:

I used to listen to every NAACP conference where Julian Bond would spend 90% of his attacks upon evil, racist Republicans and then.....in the name of "fair and balance" (they are a 'non-partisan organization' you know) he would 'attack' the Democrats making note that THEY HAVE NO SPINE.

It appears to me that this phrase is not a criticism of the Democrat's absolute position and ideology.

Instead this is a demand by a DEMOCRATIC LOYALIST for them to FIGHT HARDER against their adversaries.

Shady Grady - we both agree that YOU would never be heard asking the Republican Party to 'get a spine" right?

So what is a Black man like me to do? I look around every single Black community in America and see DEMOCRATS dominating every single institutional seat that our people look to for civic services.

It appears to me that the SPINE of the Democratic Party is fully erect in the Black community.

I am asking the question "When will the BLACK CONSCIOUS PEOPLE who are seeking to advance the Black Permanent Interests GET A SPINE and make note of how much the Black Establishment has sold our interests as a people to the Democratic Party and Progressives?

The biggest "struggle with race" is the struggle for Americans to acknowledge that race does not exist and it never did. The concept is just a mental readlining of our minds, the way whites' banks redlined "do not loan" neighborhoods wherever Blacks were predominant.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science, Office of Biological and Environmental Research, Human Genome Program:

"DNA studies do not indicate that separate classifiable subspecies (races) exist within modern humans. While different genes for physical traits such as skin and hair color can be identified between individuals, no consistent patterns of genes across the human genome exist to distinguish one race from another. There also is no genetic basis for divisions of human ethnicity. People who have lived in the same geographic region for many generations may have some alleles in common, but no allele will be found in all members of one population and in no members of any other."

In other words, the Human Genome Project has proven that, as a matter of scientific fact, that which we call "race" does not exist as a matter of biology, and so all references to "race" are references to a fallacy.

Blacks and whites use the term and fallacious concept "race" ubiquitously in our publications. Does this mean that the concept benefits the oppressed as much as it benefits the oppressor? Does ANY social construct benefit the oppressed as much as it benefits the oppressor?

I think we have to decide who has benefitted and continues to benefit more front Americans' belief in the existence of "race" - whites or Blacks. Once we have come to a new level of consciousness that the concept of "race" was not invented by whites to help Blacks achieve liberation theologies, then we can make a conscious decision about whether we want to perpetuate believe in something that has been, as a matter of science, wholly disproven.

Look at it this way: Is there any reason why a scientific hypothesis whose existence has been disproven by modern science should still structure our debates about skin color and skin-color-related politics, culture and sociology?

If you begin to use the terms "skin color" and "skin color groups", you begin to see that the word "race" is superfluous at best and represents a fundamental miseducation of the populous - Black and white - in reality.

When whites invented the concept of "race" they hoped it would perpetuate slavery and they knew this concept would tie our minds in intellectual knots for centuries to come.

So far, they have succeeded. Just Google the word "race" (even while excluding usages that could refer to bike races and ball bearings) and you discover that the term "race" has been used 448 million times in the United States in the last year alone. That's a lot of usage for a scientific concept that has no basis in science.

If, instead, you search for the phrase "skin color", you'll discover that it has only been used 4 million times in the United States in the last year.

What this means is that we are more willing to believe in a hypothesis about the relationship between skin color and DNA ("race") for which there is "no evidence" than we are willing to believe in and study the sociological, cultural, economic and political importance of "skin color", which is something that we can see with our own eyes!

In the words of Spike Lee, we've been bamboozled. All of us.

Brother Holland - I notice that when I hear arguments against "racialism" being put forth by you in this case and earlier this year when A.G. Holder called us a nation of "cowards" when it comes to race there is one specific pattern.

In response to Holder - sirs Jackson, Sharpton and other progressive Blacks applauded this charge. THE REASON WHY?

They figured that the INDICTMENT fell disproportionately upon WHITE FOLKS and that they who PURPORT to represent the interests of Black folks would not have to suffer much of a rebuke or change.

I have to ask you Brother Holland - IF THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC BASIS TO THE CONSTRUCT OF "RACE" then why is it that:

* the White man named "George W Bush" can have a leftist hate site named after him entitled "Bush Or Chimp" yet you and the rest of your AfroSpear clan join forces with "What Color Change Did MoveOn.org give us to Drive Home Their Leftist Message To Black Folks" and protested when the NY Post made use of an editorial cartoon in which only people with a creative imagination AND who wanted to send a message EARLY in the Obama presidency that they would not tolerate anything that made a reference to a chimp now that we have a Black president.

Brother Holland - from a SCIENTIFIC perspective what about WHITE FOLKS makes them more distant from primates than are Black folks?

Do you see that your notion has a TWO WAY STREET while you and others only are comfortable with the ONE WAY STREET?

Why is it that certain people are protective over what has come to be "Black Culture", rejecting certain proposals because this is what "White folks do"?

Ironically some of these same people tell us that SLAVERY HAS STRIPPED AWAY OUR ORIGINAL AFRICAN CULTURE. In truth all CULTURES were crafted over time for their FUNCTIONAL PURPOSES. When we were hunters and gatherers this necessitated COLLABORATION lest we all starve together.

Thus if there is a FUNCTIONAL bassi for culture why is there such reluctance today to make an honest assessment of the PREVAILING BLACK CULTURE and confirm that it is in line with our PERMANENT INTERESTS?

Are you and others prepared to make note of an element that is "Real Black", make note that it runs awry to our PERMANENT INTERESTS and work to snuff this dysfunctional element out of our culture regardless of its origins?

Would you be willing to replace it with another element that had its origins in China or Japan or India because it has proven more EFFECTIVE?

What say you?

Holland – When are you going to write a book about this stuff man???

Constructive Feedback – There you go telling lies again. My sincere hope for you is that one day you will be able to tell the truth. You keep labeling me as a Democrat or some wild eyed Leftist. You have done this without proving the case. I have seen no documentation or other evidence that proves I am a Democrat. The state of North Carolina has me listed as Unaffiliated (or as the media might call us: Independents). Please provide the proof before you label me something I’m not. It seems you are too busy slandering me to actually say something relevant. For a so – called college educated man you are very slow.

Point in case – If the Democrats let Lieberman off the hook and expect him to Caucus with them, then they also expect his votes. If he doesn’t go along, particularly after they did not strip his chairmanship, he is going against the interests of the party. Therefore he has betrayed them (only a fool would think that they didn’t expect Lieberman’s voting to skew Democratic. This makes him a Traitor. If Republicans go against the Republican Party they are called Traitors (ask Scott McClellan if you don’t believe me). That means all your facts and numbers listed are irrelevant to this conversation. Focus Man!! Pay attention to the main story so you can keep up and stay relevant to the conversation at hand.

Wow Ojo - out of all that I said that was material to Brother Holland's words - YOU are so self absorbed that you focused upon my inference that you are a Democrat.

Let me ask you Ojo - (and I am sorry to go off on this tangent, hoping that you will address my "racial comments" as it relates to people being upset about being referenced as "monkeys"):

Can you point to your blog entry when you called former Republican senator Arlen Spector who became a DEMOCRAT a "traitor" to the Republicans? I bet you were pretty happy at that time.

Were you Ojo?

At the end of the data Ojo - I really don't mind that you have favorable views to the Democrats. My bigger problem is that people are unable to make note of how is in control over all of the institutional seats WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY and yet, in the face of major problems that continue WITHIN - they continue their external struggle rather than working to MANAGE the resources and territory that they have control over.

I am not your nemesis Ojo - I am ONLY seeking to move your consciousness more in line with the problem set at hand. In as much as you are resistant to a proper focus do you RESENT me showing you this.

Constructive Feedback aka Lil Ronnie -

You are lying on me again!!!
I told you to provide documentation showing my association with the Democrats and other organizations that you have claimed I belong to. And why would I let you take Hollands comments and try to dictate the conversation of my original post? If you want to hold a conversation on "racial comments" with your "conservative circle jerk" of friends over on your 6 Blogs, be my guest. I have called you into question and challenged you for slandering me and you continue to do so. Until you can prove the charges you have brought against me, why should I address you in a serious manner? Your whole intent is to show light on the problems and move consciousness. And you do this by lying on the people that you are trying to enlighten? Get your social skills game up and then come back and see me.

Jez Ojo are you always this senstive?

I, Constructive Feedback hereby RETRACT all claims that I have made or infered that Ojo is a Democrat or even is inclined to support them.

I realize that it is far more important to converse with him in the "Cultural Consciousness Domain" rather than the "American Political Domain".

I hope that this frees us up to start discussing how the favored "machine" of Black American now controls all of the key institutional seats from which Black Americans receive our civic services.
