Lincoln Perry - where have you been? The Blog Game needs you!! The special effects in the first one campared to what they can do now...no contest. For that alone I'm curious. It probably was ahead of it's time but looking back it looks cheap to me.
I work as a customer service manager. Last week I had a customer issue that was heated, the customer's first name was Tron. I did all I could not to laugh in his face. The madder he got the funnier it became to me. When he was leaving and he had calmed down considerably and I had resolved his issue, I said..."don't meet a whole lotta Tron's". He laughed and said "yeah, my parents were dorks. I know you don't know but it's actually something to do with a stupid video game". I laughed, but not as hard as he laughed.
Reggie - On the "Chappelle Show" he had a character named Tron. That was hilarious. I realize it's only a cool name if it's involved in video games or street hustling.
U.S. Code Title 17, Chapter 1, Limitations on exclusive rights: Fair use
Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include—
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.

No feeling this new version, its that digital element from the original that gave it a existential feel!
