I agree with what you said except that I think that women for the most part have always been accepting of men who make an 'honest' wage.
I don't think it's a new thing that a professional women will be accepting of a blue collar man. In fact I think women in the past were even more accepting. I have heard of tons of women who were teachers and the like who married plumbers, carpenters, janitors, etc.
I think this was especially so in the mid part of last century.
Val - I only said it was new because most women I knew growing up (if they were college educated) were married to college educated men. I only know of a few women now that have college degrees that are married to people without. It's a small group.
Anonymous - Well it's a tale that keeps getting life.

In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include—
(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;
(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;
(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and
(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.
