Damn Damn Damn…..setting us back again!!!! They should have never given them *&%^$ any money.

Martellus Bennett and his brother Michael have a lot of free time on their hands. They are suppose to be professional (using that term loosely) football players in the National Football League. Martellus plays for my Cowboys and his brother plays for a team that has a bird as the symbol. They decided to get together and create a “Black Olympics”. In doing so, they created another YouTube sensation that sets black folks back. There is video after video on YouTube where black folks are cooning it up for the cameras. This time you got famous (or infamous) individuals in on the act.

For the black folks that are reading this and don’t see a problem you should stop reading right now.

For the rest of you, please continue.

The video reminded me of old films where white folks wore black face pretending to be black. They did all the stereotypical things that white folks thought black folks did. They even made up some stuff along the way. Such as this concept of black folks being lazy. We worked on plantations from can’t see morning until can’t see night. We picked cotton and tobacco all throughout the South. We created wealth for slave owners that have been passed down through their families for decades. Right now there is a wealthy white person that hasn’t worked since Martin Luther King Jr. was shot and they call “us” lazy????????

This video is a constant reminder that we have been brainwashed into believing the negative press. When we show the world our ignorance they believe it to be true. Why don’t they use their NFL wealth for something positive? They make too much money to be acting ignorant. They are now in a position where they can make their money work for them. Why sit around shooting useless video where you suck the chicken off the bone? Shoot a video of yourselves starting a business or helping a non-profit organization in the community.

Who am I kidding….black folks wouldn’t watch that. I can’t even get my own wife to stop watching BET!!!

Money does not buy common sense, class or make the sincerely stupid more intelligent.

I have never seen any of the Black Olympics. I really didn't watch the video about five seconds in-I turned it off. I have enough for real things to be pissed off about. There is no reason to let myself grow angry over buffoons at work.

MsLadyDeborah - You might be right. But I just hate to see black folks dancing with the devil.
